This commemorative fountain was designed to provide a focal point for the entrances to the two theatres which form the Peace Center and provide some definition for this space from the surrounding city streets. The sloped top granite columns provided an enclosure for the rotating stainless steel sculpture designed to imitate a "dancer" in the center of the pool. The leading edge of the fountain utilized stepped granite cubes to create a whitewater effect for additional visual interest.
This project was completed by Kenneth M. Betsch, AIA while a Managing Principal with Odell Associates, Inc.
