This 269,300 square-foot building has a seating capacity of 11,200, with 25 private suites and 500 club seats and was designed to handle a variety of sporting and entertainment events. It is directly attached to the east face of the existing Shopko Expo Hall. The building program included a KI business center, team store, hospitality room, food court, roof top garden, special connector to the expo hall, and a dedicated locker room for the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay basketball program.
This project was completed by Kenneth M. Betsch, AIA while a Managing Principal for Odell Associates, Inc. It has been named as the "Best Forward Looking Building" by Fox Cities Magazine and was featured in the "A is for Architecture" series in the Green Bay Press Gazette.
"Ken, I believe that you are one of the best designers I have had the opportunity to work with and that Brown County will be proud of this facility for many years. Throughout the design and construction process you worked with me to resolve critical issues… that were clearly above and beyond your contractual obligations. Your tenacity and calm demeanor were critical elements in the successful completion of this very politically sensitive project."
Mark P. Keckeisen, CFM, CPM
