This 78,100 square-foot multi-purpose building was designed to serve the meeting, entertainment and exhibition needs of the community. The innovative structural system provides a cantilevered folded plate steel truss roof over the faceted curtainwall of the pre-function area without perimeter columns. This design feature allows the building to show off its activity and to provide a dramatic first impression for the community.
Its flexible plan, with operable walls separating the exhibition hall from the ballroom, allows the building to handle multiple meetings from sporting events and concerts to exhibitions and business dinners. Completion of this facility has provided a catalyst to development of an adjacent amphitheater, playing fields, office distribution facilities, and retail uses on the balance of the County farm property.
